My birthday!

So, as some of you know my birthday is coming up. I'm so excited to be able to celebrate this milestone in my favorite place on earth this year! As an early birthday present I was given an Instax mini. I was planning on getting into new photography media, so this gift was absolutely perfect. I'm so excited to use it!

The reason it wanted this camera is actually really personal to me. I realized that everything is so public nowadays. I wanted to get a camera that I would use for special occasions that only I want to know about. I think it's important to disconnect, and keep some things personal and private. I put myself out there a lot with my blogging, photography, and so on; so this is a good way for me to gain control over my privacy when I choose so. Since these photos will not be on my iPhones camera roll, I won't be tempted to post them. Someday I hope to have a huge album worth of photos that are just for the eyes of those closest to me, and myself.
