So we went back to the beach again. This has been the second weekend of this month that we've been to the ocean! I feel so lucky to be able to have such incredible adventures while still in school.
I used to be overly concerned about ruining my clothing while out and about, but I realized that worrying about my outfit 24/7 was preventing me from having any fun. I was constantly anxious about getting dirt or stains on my clothing, and it consumed me. However after I found myself I realized that I couldn't let anxieties about minute insignificant material items rule over me. Two years ago the thought of wearing my jeans in the sand would be completely cringe-worthy. Now, I don't mind getting a little sandy in the name of fun or adventure.
Learning to not let the little things bother me has freed me from so much unnecessary stress. While this may seem like a very minor shift in schemas I consider this lesson as one of the most important for my personal health and wellbeing.
I had an amazing time at the beach in Wilmington, North Carolina. I got to do a photoshoot for Delta Sigma Phi Eta Rho, and also got to spend the entire weekend at the beach with Hiatt!
This week was break so Hiatt and I made a trip down to the beach for some rest! We had so much fun taking beach walks and taking pictures together. Hiatt spent most of the time holding my things, but he's a great help to me when I take pictures. This week was so relaxing, I'm so glad we took the time to go to the beach!
